TIL from a UX talk that 42% of users in a study said a dark theme's biggest fail is when text contrast is too low, not the background color.

Found this stat in a slide deck from a virtual conference last week, and it made me rethink my whole approach to just slapping a dark gray on everything.

Wait, is that really about the background color? I read it as the text color itself being the problem.
