I swore off 'The Bear' after the first episode, but my sister made me watch the second
The chaotic kitchen stress in the pilot was too much for me, but the second episode's focus on the family funeral and the 'seven fishes' story completely changed the show's tone. It went from pure stress to this deep, sad character drama in under an hour. Anyone else have a show that won you over after a rough start?

Wasn't The Bear's first episode just pure panic? I felt like I needed a nap after all that yelling. But that funeral episode hooked me good. Seeing the family all together, dealing with their mess in a quiet way, it just clicked. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, because now I'm the one telling people to stick with it past the chaos.

Hold up, you needed a nap after the first episode? I was ready to run through a wall. That opening rush when the tickets just keep coming and the printer never stops, it felt like my own heart was going to beat out of my chest. I actually had to pause it and walk around my living room. It wasn't just yelling, it was like being stuck in a pot of water coming to a boil.
