Unpopular opinion: You don't need to watch a show from season 1 every time
I used to think you had to start any show from the very first episode or you'd be lost. Then I caught random episodes of 'Law and Order SVU' on TV and realized I could follow along fine without knowing all the backstory. Tried it with season 5 of 'The Office' too and still laughed at everything. Has anyone else stopped stressing about watching shows in order and just jumped into a later season?

Totally agree with what you said about catching random episodes. I did the same thing with "Grey's Anatomy." I walked in on my roommate watching season 6 and got hooked on a storyline without knowing who half the characters were. It honestly made it more fun trying to piece things together as I went. Now I just jump into shows wherever and only go back to the beginning if I really need to know the backstory. Life's too short to stress about episode order.

Stumbled into "Lost" that way, years back. Roommate had it on, season 3, some guy in a polar bear cage. No clue what was happening but couldn't look away. Ended up binge watching whole series backwards from that point. Made weird sense in a way. Still don't know what the actual plot was about but loved every minute of it. Random episodes are like puzzle pieces you don't need the box for.
