I finally got my game group to play a full game of Twilight Imperium
We started setting up at 6 PM on Friday, and by the time we finished the rules explanation and first round, it was already 10 PM. The whole thing, including a pizza break and two rulebook arguments, wrapped up at 3 AM on Saturday. Has anyone else had a 'quick' game night turn into a 9-hour marathon?

Honestly, that sounds about right for Twilight Imperium. Tbh, my group's first game took 12 hours and we still got a rule wrong. Did you at least have fun?

Ever wonder if getting a rule wrong actually makes the first game more fun? Like it becomes your group's own weird version of the game...

Our first game took 14 hours and we messed up the combat system. I used to hate rule mistakes, but that weird version is what got us hooked.
