Chat with a leatherworker last week made me rethink my spine glue
He said he trims his leather at 45 degrees before folding and now I'm wondering if I should be beveling my book board edges too, anyone else adjust their methods after talking to a different craft?

Yeah that 45 degree trim trick works great on board edges too, I started doing it last year and never looked back.

Man that's the truth. I had to fix a board edge that I messed up last spring and the 45 degree trick saved it completely. @tessawebb knows what's up. I use it on all my miters now, even on crown molding. Just gotta make sure your saw is dialed in or the angle gets wonky real fast.
