Finally tried a bone folder instead of my fingernail for creasing paper and wish I'd switched years ago

I was always too cheap to buy one thinking it was just a fancy stick, but after ruining the third book cover trying to get a clean fold with my thumb, I grabbed a cheap Teflon one from a craft store for $8 and the crease came out perfect first try, has anyone else fought against using the right tool just to save a few bucks?

Oh wow, yes! I spent way too long trying to open packages with a dull steak knife, telling myself it was fine... finally got a proper box cutter and felt so silly.
