Showerthought: I was at the old courthouse in Springfield and realized the brickwork on the foundation is still perfect after 110 years.

It made me wonder what mortar mix they used back then that's held up so much better than some of the stuff we see failing after 30.

Is it really that big of a deal?

Well @adamcoleman, when your patio turns into a sandbox, it's kind of a big deal. Hope he didn't have any nice patio furniture out there.

My uncle's 70s brick patio is basically dust now.
