Got schooled on packing cubes after 8 trips using trash bags
I always bragged that using grocery bags saved me $30 over those fancy packing cubes... until a hostel roommate in Barcelona pointed out my clothes were still wrinkled and damp after 3 days. She showed me how cubes compress stuff and let air flow, and now I actually fit everything in a carry-on without looking like a homeless traveler. Has anyone else resisted a gear upgrade for years only to kick yourself when you finally tried it?

What finally sold me was trying those reusable silicone bags for wet stuff like marinating chicken, and now I'm hooked. Did you switch to containers or whole different system?
