Pro tip: A random chat with my neighbor about her grocery bill changed how I budget meals
Was talking to my neighbor Linda last Tuesday while we were both watering our lawns. She mentioned she spends $75 a week on groceries for just herself and I was shocked because I was spending closer to $120. She told me she plans every meal around what's on sale at the store instead of deciding what to cook first. So I tried it for the last two weeks and I'm down to about $95 a week by just checking the weekly flyers on Wednesdays. My trick is I write down 3 dinners based on the cheapest meats and veggies and then eat leftovers for lunch. Anyone else have a weird saving tip from someone you barely knew?

Wait, did you get your whole meal planning strategy from a mailman talking about bulk rice? That's honestly way more believable than my story because I once took dating advice from a guy selling hot dogs on the street corner... didn't end well, but at least the hot dog was good.
