Just saw the bike racks on Elm Street installed in the worst spot, now everyone has to walk around them.

Check how poor planning just makes trouble somewhere else. It forces people onto the street if the sidewalk gets blocked. That kind of fix helps nobody in the end.

Last year in my neighborhood, they closed a sidewalk for a week to fix broken pipes, which was a huge mess at first. @aaron_kim46, I see what you mean about trouble, but honestly, the city had to do it because the pipes were leaking bad. They did put up those orange signs and made a temp path, so people weren't really in the street much. In the end, it saved us from a bigger flood later, so I guess the planning wasn't all poor.

Man, that happens so much with event planning too. Last summer there was a street fair that closed down two lanes but didn't set up any detours. Traffic backed up for blocks and people were just walking in the road, it was a mess lol. They thought they were helping local businesses but just made everyone angry. Stuff like that never gets thought through properly.
