My bullet journal pen fight: felt tip vs. gel, and the clear winner
Last month I decided to test two pens for my weekly spreads, a felt tip marker and a basic gel pen. I used the felt tip for headers and the gel for daily tasks, thinking it would look cool. The felt tip bled through three pages of my Leuchtturm notebook, making a mess of my habit tracker. The gel pen wrote smooth, dried fast, and didn't ghost at all, even when I went over the same spot twice. I spent an hour trying to fix the bleed with white tape and it just looked worse. Now I only use that gel pen, a Pilot G2, for everything in my bujo. Has anyone else had a pen disaster that made you switch your whole system?

You mentioned the Pilot G2 not ghosting at all, but I've actually had some ghosting with it in my Leuchtturm. It's definitely way better than a felt tip, but if you look at an angle you can still see a faint impression. Maybe it's the specific notebook batch. Still a great pen choice though, that bleed through sounds brutal.
