Switched to a single pen for my weekly spreads and it fixed everything

My weekly pages were a mess. Too many colors, too much time picking pens. Last month I tried using just one black fineliner for everything. The Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.4. No highlighters, no color coding. It forced me to keep things simple. My setup time dropped from like 20 minutes to maybe 5. Has anyone else tried a one-pen system? What did you use?

Wait you actually got your setup down to five minutes? That's the real shocker here. I could never pick just one pen, I'm too attached to my mildliners. But cutting out the color coding sounds kind of freeing, honestly.

My friend Susan, I found the real time-saver was ditching the planner itself. I just use a cheap notebook now and my five-minute setup is just writing the date.
