Stupid bone dust from the band saw getting everywhere

I swear every time I run short ribs through the band saw at my shop in Philly, bone dust gets all over my apron and boots no matter how careful I am. Saw a new guy last week just letting it pile up on the table instead of wiping it down between cuts. That dust gets into the meat if you are not paying attention and customers can taste that gritty texture. I have been doing this for 8 years and I always keep a wet towel nearby to catch the spray. How do you guys deal with this mess without slowing down your line?

Wait is the wet towel trick for real or is that just something you do to feel better about the mess? I mean I get it, I have a buddy who swears by keeping a spray bottle of water near his saw to mist the blade between cuts and he says it helps keep the dust from flying everywhere. Maybe it's just me but I feel like no matter what you do that stuff finds a way to get into your socks or something ridiculous. One time I had a customer complain about grit in their short ribs and I had to explain it wasn't dirt it was bone dust from the saw which is way worse honestly. I mean you basically paid for the privilege of eating ground up bone particles so enjoy that crunch buddy.

oh man the wet towel trick is a lifesaver. i keep a damp cloth right next to my board and wipe the blade guard down after every few racks. that dust gets in your lungs too if you aint careful. saw a guy sneeze black dust once gross stuff.
