Had the worst day of my cabinet career last Wednesday
Everything that could go wrong did. I was trimming out a custom maple cabinet for a client in Springfield and my brand new Freud blade snapped mid cut, chipped the face frame pretty bad. Then I realized I'd mis-measured the drawer slides by a quarter inch on the whole bank of drawers. Has anyone else had a day where you just should have called it quits at lunch?

Man, that's rough. A snapped blade is bad enough but finding out the drawer slides are off by a quarter inch after all that work just adds salt to the wound. I've definitely had those days where every little thing fights you and you just know you should have packed it in after lunch. Hope the rest of the week treated you better.

Actually Kevin, I gotta push back on that a little. A snapped blade is just part of the game when you're building stuff, and a quarter inch off on drawer slides is fixable with some shims. Half the fun of this hobby is figuring out how to dig yourself out of a hole.
