That one Tuesday where three old Rolleiflexes walked in the door

I had three Rolleiflex cameras come in for CLA work on the same Tuesday last month, which never happens around here (Portland). One was a 2.8F with a sticky focus that turned out to be a dried out helicoid grease, nothing major but it ate up my whole afternoon. Has anyone else had a weird streak of the same model showing up all at once?

Holy moly, three in one day? That's wild, especially for Portland where I feel like you see more old Polaroids rolling through. I can't imagine the weird camera universe aligning like that, must have been fate or something.

Fate definitely had a hand in it (or maybe some weird thrift store conspiracy, who knows). Portlands Polaroid game is strong, but three quality finds in one day feels like winning a lottery nobody talks about. The weird part is when you realize someone probably cleared out an estate and all that stuff landed in different bins at the same time. Makes you wonder how many other cameras are just sitting in garages or attics waiting for the right person to stumble across them. Honestly, its kind of beautiful when the universe decides to roll out the red carpet for a hobby like this. The only downside is now every trip to Goodwill feels a little less magical.
