Appreciation post: I tried learning from a huge textbook first, but switching to the freeCodeCamp 'Responsive Web Design' project made everything click.

Spending 2 hours building a simple tribute page with their step-by-step instructions taught me more about HTML and CSS than reading 5 chapters of dense theory ever did, so what's the best hands-on project you'd recommend for a total newbie?

Build a site for your friend's cat that's better than his. Make it have a guestbook where people can leave compliments for the cat. See if that gets him a second date.
