Thought I had to memorize everything to start coding

I tried to build a simple number guessing game in Python last Tuesday without looking anything up. I got stuck for over an hour because I couldn't remember the exact syntax for a while loop. When I finally peeked at my notes, I realized I just needed to check the condition. It taught me that knowing how to find answers is way more important than having them all in your head. How do you handle looking things up when you're stuck on a project?

Honestly that line about finding answers being more important than having them in your head is so true. Tbh I see this everywhere now, like when my dad tries to fix something around the house without a video guide and just gets mad. It's not about what you know right this second, it's about knowing how to figure it out. I keep a browser tab open just for searches and it saves me every single time.

That "knowing how to figure it out" line is getting treated like some huge life secret. It's just looking stuff up. People have been doing that forever with manuals or asking someone. The browser tab thing is normal, not a special skill. Makes it sound way more serious than it is.
