Spent 45 minutes adjusting my burr grinder and it paid off

I've been stuck with inconsistent coffee at home for months. Finally sat down with my Breville grinder and tweaked the upper burr setting one tiny notch. Pulled a shot that actually tasted balanced instead of sour or bitter. Has anyone else found that small adjustment made a huge difference?

Dude yes, that tiny upper burr adjustment is everything. I spent like two weeks pulling sour shot after sour shot with my Baratza, thinking something was broken. Then I moved it one notch finer and suddenly everything clicked. It's crazy how such a small change turns a mess into something drinkable.

I get where you're coming from, but I actually had the opposite experience with my Baratza. I kept chasing that finer adjustment and ended up with mud-like shots that choked my machine. Turns out I was overthinking it and went back to a coarser setting, which gave me way better flow and flavor. For me, the tiny adjustments felt like I was just guessing until I found a setting that actually matched my beans.
