Just found out most designers ignore color accessibility entirely

I was reading through a UX design survey from Nielsen Norman Group last night and it said 87% of web color palettes fail basic contrast checks. That blew my mind since we all have tools like WebAIM for free. How do we get more people to actually run these checks before hitting publish?

And those same designers are probably using dark mode themes they can't even read in direct sunlight. Guess we're all just winging it until someone sues us.

Used to be all in on dark mode for everything, but your point about sunlight hit me hard. Actually switched a couple of my daily use apps back to light mode after reading that, just to test it for myself. Still feels wrong but you might be onto something.
