Rant: My phone's location history went blank for a full day during a trip to Denver

I drove from Boulder to a specific restaurant downtown, but the map shows a straight line with no stops, like the data was wiped or edited. I checked the settings and nothing was off, which makes me wonder if something else can mess with that tracking. Has anyone else had their location data just skip over a chunk of time for no clear reason?

My Pixel 6 did that in Chicago and it changed my mind about location tracking.

Oh man, my phone does that and it just makes me feel so lazy. Like it'll pop up with "time to leave for your dentist" and I'm just sitting there in my sweatpants. Guess the phone knows my life better than I do now.
