That $300 laser level I bought last month already gave me trouble
I picked up a self-leveling green laser for a big commercial drywall job and it started flickering on day two. Had to stop work and call the supplier, which set me back half a shift waiting for a replacement. Anyone else have bad luck with cheaper laser levels holding up on active job sites?

@simon_black nailed it, half a shift gone just waiting is rough. It feels like a lot of this cheap stuff is built to barely survive a week on site, not a whole job. Ive started noticing the same pattern with my cordless drill batteries too, they just stop holding a charge after a few months. Kinda makes you wonder if they design them to fail on purpose so you have to buy another one.

Sucks big time when you're already on the clock and the tool lets you down like that. Half a shift is brutal for something that's supposed to save time.
