Finally tried spray foam vs rigid board insulation in my container
Used rigid board on my first container home in Phoenix last year. Had huge thermal bridging issues and the seams leaked air bad. Switched to closed cell spray foam on my second build in Tucson and the temp difference inside is like 15 degrees. Anyone else run into major insulation problems with one method over the other?

Wait, you had thermal bridging that bad with rigid board? I always thought spray foam was overkill but @theabennett's experience and your 15 degree difference is making me rethink my whole approach.

That 15 degree difference is wild. My buddy did rigid board on his container in Colorado and he had ice dams forming along the seams in winter, total nightmare. I went with closed cell spray foam on mine out here in Oregon and I don't even feel drafts near the walls anymore. The initial cost was higher but the lack of air leaks makes it worth it for me. Did you have to deal with any moisture issues with the rigid board before you switched?
