Tried that popular bond repair treatment on my own fine hair and it turned into a gummy mess after 4 minutes.

Sat in my kitchen staring at strands snapping off in my fingers wondering if I misread the timer or if my hair just hates protein, anyone else's hair reject bond builders like this?

Your hair just hates protein" honestly might be the most real thing I've ever read about fine hair. I mean, bond builders are basically a protein bomb and fine hair just can't handle that much at once without freaking out. Idk if you've tried it yet but maybe diluting the treatment with a bit of water or cutting the time way down could help. I've had way better luck with lighter protein treatments that don't hit as hard, because my hair definitely rejects the heavy stuff too.
