Unpopular opinion: Writing prompts are all about the SAME themes now

I've been part of this community for a while, and I've seen a BIG shift. Every prompt I come across is about dystopian futures or magical schools. It feels like no one is trying NEW things anymore. Last week, I tried to write from a prompt about a time-traveling detective, but it just felt like every other story out there. I miss the days when prompts made you think outside the box. Now, it's all copycat ideas that don't spark real creativity. It's getting harder to find something that TRULY inspires me. I wish we could bring back more variety and originality.

It's not just writing prompts, everything feels that way lately. Streaming services keep making the same shows, and social media trends get beaten into the ground. Stuff starts fresh, then everyone copies it until the idea is totally worn out. It makes you wonder if real originality is just harder to find now, or if we're all stuck in the same loop. Have you seen this happen in other hobbies you're into?

Honestly, when you said we're all stuck in the same loop, I felt that. Tbh, my streaming recommendations are just the same stuff with different faces. Originality must be on a break.
