PSA: my whole site layout broke because of one missing semicolon in the CSS

I was cleaning up a client project last Tuesday and accidentally deleted a single semicolon at the end of a font-size line. The whole page turned into a jumbled mess where the header floated off screen and the footer sat on top of the hero section. I spent over two hours checking media queries and grid settings before a coworker glanced at my code and spotted it in under 10 seconds. He just pointed at the line and said "you forgot the glue." The worst part is that the browser dev tools showed zero errors, so I never thought to check for something that basic. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on a typo that small?

Classic. Dev tools never catch the dumb stuff, only the interesting bugs.

Oh come on, I actually find dev tools catch plenty of the boring stuff too... maybe you're just not running the right linters.
