That time the checkout button turned invisible on mobile and our conversion tanked 60% in one afternoon

Spent all Tuesday hunting down a z-index war between a sticky header and a modal overlay that just ate the button on iPhone Safari, has anyone else had a seemingly tiny CSS bug nuke an entire day's revenue without warning?

Oh man, did that ever hit close to home for me? We had this exact thing happen a few months back where our whole add to cart flow just stopped working on Android Chrome for like half our users. Turned out a silly little CSS thing where a tooltip was floating over the button and making it unclickable, but only on certain screen sizes. I spent literally three days pulling my hair out before I noticed the tooltip had a z-index that was technically higher than the button even though it looked like it was behind it. It was such a tiny thing but it killed our sales for a whole week while I was chasing ghosts thinking it was a JavaScript issue. Makes you feel pretty dumb when you finally find it but man those little CSS bugs can be brutal.

Z-index war" is the perfect description. Nuked our checkout too.
