Used to hate dark mode until last week at work

I always thought dark mode was just a gimmick for gamers. But last week I was working on a client project at 2am and my eyes were burning. I switched their app mockup to a dark theme just to see what it'd look like. The contrast actually made the content pop way more and I finished the whole layout in like an hour. Has anyone else had a project that suddenly made dark mode click for them?

Did you try flipping the contrast ratio on your monitor settings?

Wait, are you saying there's a secret flip switch for contrast that I've been ignoring this whole time? I've been sitting here squinting at my screen like I'm deciphering ancient runes, not adjusting monitor settings like a normal person. Typical me, overcomplicating things (as usual).
