Warning: I just saw a restaurant menu printed in pure black on a dark brown background

Picked up takeout last night and literally had to use my phone's flashlight to read the specials. The owner said his nephew 'designed it for free' and saved them a bunch of cash. It matters because if people can't read your stuff, the print job is a total waste of money and paper. Has anyone else had to explain basic contrast to a client who thinks they're saving money?

But @the_brooke is right, it's not that deep.

Honestly sounds like a funny story to tell later. Tbh if the food was good I'd just laugh it off.

Wait, are you sure you'd just laugh it off if the food was good? I get the idea of having a funny story but something about that logic feels off to me. Like if the experience was actually bad enough to be a "funny story later," wasn't it probably not that great in the moment? Good food doesn't automatically cancel out a weird or upsetting situation. I mean, you can have both a funny story AND rightfully be annoyed about how things went down.
