Just counted 47 different paint samples on my living room wall
I was trying to pick a new color for the room and kept getting more of those little cards. I laid them all out last night and actually counted them, 47 little squares of almost the same beige. My wife walked in and said 'are you building a paint museum?' It's been three weeks and I still can't decide. How do you finally pick one and just go with it?

Read this article once about how too many choices can actually make you less happy with your final pick. They called it choice overload. It totally fits with having 47 beige squares. You start seeing tiny differences that don't even matter once the whole wall is painted. The advice was to limit yourself to three finalists, tape them up, and live with them for a few days. Pick the one you keep looking at without feeling stressed. Sometimes you just have to stop getting new samples and commit.

Building a paint museum" is exactly what it feels like. I finally picked the one that looked best at night with the lamps on, since that's when we're actually in there. The daylight favorite looked totally different and awful in the evening.

Honestly @aaron_kim46 that "looked best at night" move is the only way to go. Tbh I made that mistake once and picked a color in full sun. It looked crazy green under our living room lights. You have to test it in the actual light you use. Ngl I spent weeks staring at patches on the wall at different times. It feels silly but it's the only thing that works.
