Dug through an old portfolio from 2008 and found a stat that stopped me cold

Over half of hiring managers back then said they'd skip a portfolio without a printed resume included. Has anyone else noticed how much the rules for what counts as a "real" portfolio have shifted in the last 15 years?

Huh, well that stat surprises me. 2008 was right when things were shifting to digital anyway. I think you're right that the rules have changed a lot but maybe not as much as people think. Most hiring people I've talked to still want something they can print out and scribble notes on. The real change is nobody cares about fancy binders or specific paper types anymore. It's more about the work itself than how you package it.
