That time I designed a flyer with invisible text and didn't notice for 2 days

I was making a flyer for my dentist office's annual cleanup event last month, and I got so obsessed with the background gradient that I forgot to check my text layer. I picked this light yellow font on a white background, thinking it looked clean and airy. Sent it to print at the local copy shop in Dayton, and they printed 200 copies before someone realized you couldn't read a single word. My boss just stared at me holding the stack of blank-looking papers and asked if I was trying to start a modern art movement. I ended up redoing the whole thing with dark navy text and a simple shadow effect, which actually looked ten times better. Has anyone else had a color combo fail so bad you wasted a whole print run?

Read somewhere that 90% of print fails are just bad color contrast, @kellyj23.
