After years of ignoring it, the keyboard shortcut for grouping layers finally clicked for me

I always thought Ctrl+G (or Cmd+G) was just for grouping folders in file explorers. Never bothered with it in design tools until last Tuesday when I had to reorganize 40 layers in a Figma file for a client project. Tried it once to group a set of UI elements and the whole layer panel cleaned up instantly. It saved me maybe 20 minutes of dragging and dropping. Has anyone else found a basic shortcut they avoided for years that turned out to be a game changer?

Took me forever to realize Shift+Ctrl+[ or ] moves layers up and down in Photoshop. Now I can't live without it for keeping my panels organized.

Lol took me like 3 years to find that shortcut and now I feel like a genius every time I use it. Before that I was literally dragging layers one by one with my mouse like a caveman. I still accidentally hit the wrong keys sometimes and send a layer flying to the bottom of the stack. Its a total gamechanger for cleaning up messy panels though, no cap.
