Just realized I've been using the alignment tool wrong for 5 years

Last Tuesday I was watching a Figma tutorial on YouTube and the guy hit Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Center - I didn't even know that combo existed. I've been manually eyeballing alignments in my UI mockups since 2019. Has anyone else found a hidden shortcut that made you feel like an idiot for not knowing it sooner?

Happened to me with the "distribute spacing" feature in Illustrator. I had been manually trying to space things out with the grid and guides for years. Then one day I accidentally right-clicked and there it was, a button that does exactly what I was killing myself over. Felt pretty silly for a few days after that, but honestly I still forget it exists half the time.

And it's not just design software either. I've noticed this pattern with SO many things, like cooking or even organizing my closet. You spend hours doing something the hard way, then one day you stumble on a shortcut and feel like an absolute fool for not noticing it sooner. Reminds me of how we sometimes overcomplicate things in life just because we're used to doing them a certain way, when the simple solution was sitting there the whole time.
