Bedtime battles are over thanks to a simple sticker chart

Man, bedtime used to be a nightmare with my kids running around and refusing to brush their teeth. Last month, I got star stickers and made a chart for each kid. Every night they finish their routine without fuss, they get a sticker. After five stickers, they pick a small treat from a prize box. It worked like magic and now we read books together without rushing. I feel like I won the parenting lottery this week lol. Our evenings are calm for the first time in ages.

Wish my sticker charts worked half as well as yours.

Sticker charts can be hit or miss depending on how you set them up. What exactly are you trying to track with them, and what rewards are you offering? I remember with my cousin's kids, the stickers only worked when we tied them to super clear, small tasks like making the bed, not big stuff like cleaning the whole room. Maybe the goals need to be broken down more?

Ever notice how this works with adults too? We need those small wins to feel like we're getting somewhere, or else the big goal just feels impossible. Breaking things down is just human nature, I guess.
