I finally stopped meal prepping on Sundays and now I actually eat better

Used to spend 4 hours every Sunday cooking 15 containers of chicken and rice. By Wednesday I was so bored I'd just order pizza. Last month I started just prepping ingredients instead of full meals. Now I chop veggies and marinate protein on Sunday, takes maybe 45 minutes. Then I just toss things together each night in 10 minutes. Has anyone else found that less structure actually makes them stick to a plan better?

Hard disagree. That loose prep method is exactly how I end up staring at chopped veggies and marinated chicken at 8pm and deciding I'd rather just order Thai. The whole point of meal prep for me is that future me is too lazy to make decisions. When I had the full containers ready, I ate them because the alternative was spending money. Now I'd just rationalize that the chicken will keep another day. Full prep or bust, that's my take.

And the chopped veggies just stare at you from the fridge like they know you're gonna betray them.
