Warning: That "life audit" trend on TikTok might be costing you more than you think

I overheard a friend last week talking about how she spent $300 on a bunch of journals and sticker kits to do this huge life audit she saw online. She sat down for like 4 hours trying to map out every single thing she wanted to change about her life. And then she got overwhelmed and quit after two days. It made me realize I've done the exact same thing before - getting caught up in the planning part instead of just making one small change. Like, I spent a whole weekend building a super detailed habit tracker in Notion but never actually used it for more than a week. The real takeaway for me was that maybe tracking everything at once just sets you up to fail. Has anyone else tried a simplified version of this and actually stuck with it?

Is spending $300 on stickers really the worst financial decision people are making this year? Pretty sure the real problem is the internet convincing us we need a whole system just to brush our teeth consistently.

Blew my mind when you said $300 on journals and stickers. I can barely commit to a $5 pack of pens for my grocery list without abandoning it by Wednesday. How do these planners and sticker kits actually convince people they need a whole aesthetic setup just to think about their goals?
