Used to cram everything on a single monitor for years, now I run three screens

Back in my college apartment in Chicago I had a tiny desk with one 15 inch monitor, switching between design files and browser tabs like a fool. After a friend convinced me to try dual screens for a project last year, I ended up adding a third for reference images and Slack, and I honestly don't know how I managed before. What's your max number of monitors before the setup gets too chaotic?

I hit four for a bit but it just becomes a neck exercise trying to keep track of where everything lives, three is the sweet spot before your desk starts looking like a NASA control room.

@miller.paul right, three monitors is the max before you need a chiropractor.
