I just ran my site through a checker and it flagged 63 contrast errors

I was sure my new palette looked good, but the tool showed my main text on a light gray background failed. I fixed them all in about twenty minutes by just making the text a bit darker. It made me realize how easy it is to miss things I can see fine. Has anyone else been shocked by a simple check like that?

My friend Jake launched his bakery site last month and a similar tool flagged over 40 contrast fails. His menu text on a cream background was almost unreadable for some folks. He was so embarrassed because his cousin with low vision tried to check the hours and couldn't. He fixed it in an afternoon just by darkening the brown text.

That cream background story from @veraramirez reminds me of my aunt's old recipe blog, the light gray text was a total nightmare to read!
