Spent 8 hours chasing a coolant leak on a 6.7 Powerstroke that turned out to be a $5 O-ring
The whole time I was convinced it was the water pump gasket, but it was just a tiny seal on the thermostat housing. Anyone else ever waste a day on something that simple?

Yeah, that "keep the ego in check" thing is everywhere. You spend an hour looking for your phone while you're holding it, or you reinstall a program because of a bug that a simple restart would have fixed. It's like our brains are wired to jump to the hardest solution first. Makes you wonder how much time we all waste overthinking the small stuff.

Oh, I've been there more times than I care to admit. Last month I pulled the entire intake manifold off my old truck, swearing the gasket had failed. Turns out I'd just knocked a vacuum line loose while checking the air filter. Felt like a real genius putting it all back together for a thirty second fix.
