My cousin insisted I needed a 4K drawing tablet for my character art
He said my old 1080p one was 'holding me back' and I'd see a huge jump in detail, so I spent $800 on a new one. Honestly, after using it for two months, my line work looks exactly the same and I can't tell a difference in the final pieces I post. Has anyone else upgraded their monitor or tablet and felt like it wasn't worth the money?

Man, I went through the same thing with my monitor. Dropped a bunch of cash on a fancy high-res screen for photo editing, and my pictures look the same online as they did before. All my friends just view them on their phones anyway. The specs looked great on paper, but in real use, it just doesn't matter for where my work ends up. Felt like a total waste.

My old 1080p monitor still works fine for Instagram. Most people won't see the difference anyway.
