Debate: Is Medellin losing its magic for digital nomads?

I spent 3 months in Medellin last fall and I'm torn on whether it's still the hotspot everyone claims. On one hand, the internet is solid and coworking spaces like Selina have great vibes for networking. On the other hand, prices have jumped maybe 30% since 2022, with rent for a decent apartment hitting $800 a month now. Plus, the digital nomad crowd feels way bigger than pre-2019, which kills some of the authentic local feel. But then again, the weather and mountains are still unbeatable for remote work. What's your take - is Medellin still worth it for nomads or has it gotten too crowded and pricey?

Yo have you checked out Laureles instead of Poblado? Way less touristy and you can still find apartments under $600 if you dig around. The nomad scene is getting insane but honestly the vibe there still feels more local.

bet, but $600 still ain't cheap for what it used to be.

Man I heard rents jumped another 15% just this year alone, is that even sustainable?
