That one comment about my wifi setup in Medellin wrecked my whole routine

I was working from a coworking spot in Medellin last month and some guy walks by my table, looks at my phone hotspot, and says 'you're working like it's 2015 bro.' I was offended at first but he was right. I had been relying on cafe wifi and my phone for 6 months and getting dropped from video calls constantly. He showed me his portable router with a local sim card and I bought one that same day. My connection went from dropping twice an hour to solid all day. Has anyone else had a random stranger point out something obvious you were ignoring?

My buddy had this happen to him in Bangkok with his whole backpack setup. Some random digital nomad at a hostel just looked at him and said "you know that bag is gonna destroy your back in a month right." He'd been ignoring the pain for weeks and finally switched to a proper travel pack the next day.

Bro, wait - @miller.paul, some random stranger just called him out in a hostel? That's wild.
