That viral post about coworking spaces being a waste of money

I saw this popular thread yesterday saying coworking memberships are a scam and you should just work from cafes. Spent 4 months in Medellin trying to save cash bouncing between coffee shops. The internet was spotty, I kept buying $5 lattes, and I got nothing done. Has anyone else actually crunched the numbers on total cafe spending versus a proper desk?

The "vibes as a business expense" line got me lol. But honestly, is a $45 day pass really that much better than bouncing between spots? I've sat in coworking spaces where the AC was broken and the coffee was watery, so you're still paying for a mood you might not even get. Plus, no one factoring in the awkward small talk with the resident "entrepreneur" who never actually works. Feels like both options can suck, it just depends on how much you hate wasting money on muffins.

$45 for a coworking day pass vs the $50 I was burning on 2 lattes and a muffin plus tip at some overpriced cafe in Laureles. The math really isn't that complicated unless you're counting the "vibes" as a business expense.
