Warning: My drywall patch job accidentally enclosed my curious cat.
I had to use a saw to FREE her from the insulation, and she is NOT happy with me.

Notice how we get way more upset about animals in scary situations than people sometimes. Saw a video last week of a dog in a storm and everyone was crying, but then we scroll past news about folks losing their homes. It's like our brains are wired to feel for the helpless creature right in front of us. We see the kitty and imagine its pure fear, and that hits quick. But with people, we start wondering if they made bad choices or could have avoided it, and the feeling gets complicated. The immediate sympathy just doesn't kick in the same way.
