Hit batch 100 on my hot sauce today, kinda weird milestone

I've been keeping a tally on the fridge for my fermented pepper sauces, and this morning I cracked open jar number 100. It's just a simple habanero mango I've made like 20 times before, but something about that round number got me. My wife laughed and said I should add confetti to the fermentation station. Did anyone else get oddly sentimental at a random batch count?

Used to think tracking batches was silly but 100 definitely hits different.

100 definitely hits different" is the truth. I was the same way, thought batch numbers were just for the serious heads. But after getting a few batches that tasted nothing like the last one, I started paying attention. Now I write the batch number on the bag with a sharpie and note how it was stored. If a 100 is good, I'll buy a few at once so I don't have to chase it later. It's just a simple habit that saves you the headache of wondering why your next bag doesn't taste the same.
