Just saw a stat about credit card interest that made me feel better about my debt

I was reading a review for a new budgeting app, and it mentioned the average credit card balance in the US is over $6,000. I've been stressing about my $2,800 balance for months, so seeing that number was a huge relief, lol. It's not good, but it put things in a different light for me. The review was on a site called NerdWallet, and they had a whole section on average debt by age. I'm still gonna work hard to pay it off, but it took some of the panic away. Has anyone else had a stat or fact from a review that actually made you feel less alone in a money mess?

yeah I saw something about that on the news last week... average is like $37,000 or something crazy. @noraj79 makes a solid point, it's hard to wrap your head around that number until you actually have to pay it back.
