That's a solid point from @wendy_clark about the chemical stain. I always blamed poor finishes just on the tool or feeds, but a bad coolant mix can totally leave residue. Had a similar thing happen with a weak mix on some steel, left a sticky film that ruined the part. Makes you check the refractometer twice now, doesn't it?

Remember my buddy who swore by his fancy diagnostic gear? His shop wasted a week on a phantom electrical drain. Kid with a cheap tone generator found it in twenty minutes. Sometimes the weird tool is the right one, @henderson.hugo.

Saw a video last week where a carpenter said shims can work if the cabinet box is basically solid and it's just a tiny alignment issue. Sounds like that might be what happened for @robertlopez. But I get the other point too, if the whole frame is off then you're just fighting a losing battle. Makes me wonder how you even tell the difference without taking the whole door off to check.
