Just realized my solder joint looked fine but was actually cold

Trusting the tool over your eyes, like the_john said, is a good life rule.

I was at a client's office in Milwaukee and saw their team's design system in action, and it completely changed how I work

My friend Sarah used to hand-code every single form field, it was a total mess. She visited a tech company in Austin and saw their design system library, just like @the_henry described. She came back and said it was like someone turned on a light. Now she has her own set of reusable form parts and it cut her work in half. She told me it finally made her stop reinventing the wheel for every project. That shift in thinking is honestly the biggest win.

Question about bleed lines for a local cafe menu

Printers having different bleed needs is such a headache. @caseyward that story about the flyers is my nightmare, it's so easy to mess up. Tbh I've learned to always ask for their exact specs before starting anything now, even if I think I know the standard. It saves that awful feeling of seeing a print job come back wrong.

Update: I was reading a review of a budgeting app and saw a stat that made me stop

That "small charges add up" thing is why I set a calendar reminder to check my subscriptions every three months.

A call in Cincinnati made me stop trusting the lobby panel lights

Ever notice how tech makes us trust our eyes less? We see a number on a screen and take it as fact, even when our gut says something's off. That false trust is everywhere now, not just in elevator panels.
