I finally realized that chasing every new client is a bad plan
Last month, I spent a full week trying to land a huge client in Austin who wanted a full rebrand for $15,000. We bent over backwards on the proposal, but they ended up being a nightmare with endless calls and scope changes. The stress wasn't worth it, and I think sometimes turning down a big project is the smart move for growth. Has anyone else walked away from a deal that looked good on paper?

Turned down a freelance web design gig last year that paid well but sounded like a headache. Sometimes the money just isn't worth the trouble.

Remember doing the same thing with a client who wanted endless changes for a flat fee. Decided my free time was more important than the extra cash. Felt guilty for a week, then saw them post the job again with three times the work listed. Dodged a bullet for real. Peace of mind has its own price tag.

Totally get that, @matthewbarnes. Feels like a lot of people are hitting a point where they value their peace over a paycheck. Good on you for knowing your limit.
