I got called out for micromanaging my team's time down to 15-minute blocks

One of my senior project leads pulled me aside last month and said, 'Felix, the constant check-ins about every little task are killing our momentum. We feel like we're reporting to a clock, not building for clients.' It hit me hard. I was using Toggl to track everything, thinking it was about accountability, but it was just creating stress. I scrapped the detailed time blocks for everyone except myself. Now we do a weekly goals check-in on Mondays and a quick stand-up on Wednesdays. Morale is way up and projects are still on track. Has anyone else found a better balance between oversight and giving your team room to breathe?

Nice. Did the same thing, @lee_barnes70. Trust works better than trackers.

Trust works better, huh? Guess that explains why my plants keep dying.

Read about that in a management book, sounds like you nailed it.
